‘Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children’ will be re-released in 4K HDR on June 8


If the next 4K compatible version of Final Fantasy VII remake on PlayStation 5, that might not be quite enough to satisfy your high-res Final Fantasy cravings, you’ll be happy to hear that a 4K HDR remaster of an FF movie is coming soon.

The latest overhaul of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children arrives on June 8, just two days before FF7 Remake: Intergrade hit ps5. The 2005 film is an animated sequel to Final Fantasy VII and that takes place two years after the events of this match. Amazon has open preorders for the 4K Blu-ray version priced at $ 31.

Along with Dolby Atmos audio in English and Japanese and 5.1 audio for each language, the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray includes a director’s cut with an additional 26 minutes of material and over 1,000 edited scenes. A separate Blu-ray disc includes an HD version of the movie with several bonuses.

This is not the first remastered edition of the film, as Polygon Remarks. A 2009 version called Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children completed also included an additional 26 minutes of footage. While the plot can be confusing, it should be better than ever at 4K and HDR10.

If your only other experience with Final Fantasy VII is through FF7 Remake, the film might make even less sense. The latest version of the game only includes part of the storytelling of the original and makes some changes to the story. As a direct follow-up to the original FF7, the movie develops to some of the plot rhythms of the game.
