You don’t think anything to lose $ 100 or more on a pair of running shoes. Ditto for the considerable sums you invested in compression tights, hydration vests and nothing else that helps you conquer your own personal mountains. But what about your socks? As small as they are, they’re probably more responsible for your (dis) comfort than anything you train in. If they don’t match up correctly, welcome to Blister City; if they don’t withstand humidity well, you look a long, cold day on the trail.
Do not be afraid. Whether you’re a boot camp fan, ultra-running aficionado, or a twice-weekly jogger, there is a sock for you. We’ve sifted through the seemingly endless variety of fit and cushion – and, yes, color – to find options that are well worth the price. Your feet are in good hands.
Update April 2021: We’ve added a new choice for trail running, the Balega Utralight Crew.
