The annual Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is fast approaching, and expect some exciting announcements at this year’s keynote. With new hardware and software updates on the horizon, WWDC 2023 is set to be one of the biggest Apple events in years.

Apple WWDC 2023 keynote start time
The WWDC keynote is scheduled to begin on Monday. June 5 at 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET. Depending on the announcement, the livestream could last at least two hours. After the first keynote, Apple will stream the State of the Union address later in the day, followed by the Apple Design Awards in the evening.

WWDC 2023 is an online event, so there are several different ways to live stream the keynote. The live stream will be available on Apple’s YouTube channel, as well as directly from the event page on Apple’s website. You can also watch the stream on your Apple TV.

If you want to watch the event using your Apple TV, just make sure you have an Apple TV device that supports the App Store and has the TV app. From there, the keynote will appear as an option within the TV app while it’s live.
What to expect from Apple WWDC 2023
We don’t know everything Apple will announce at this year’s WWDC, but there are enough leaks and rumors to make an informed guess. The biggest news is probably Apple’s mixed reality headset, which has been leaked in abundance online. And if this year is anything like his WWDC 2022, we might get more information on new developments for Apple’s operating system.
Apple VR/AR headsets
It’s possible that Apple won’t announce a new mixed reality headset at WWDC 2023, but there are enough leaks at this point that everyone expects it. According to the latest leaks, this headset will probably include his 5,000 nits of brightness, which rivals some of his 4K TVs at best.

We don’t yet know how much the Apple headset will cost, but we know it won’t be cheap. Rumor has it that the price is around $3,000. This is twice the price of the Meta Quest Pro, which originally launched at $1,500 but dropped to under $1,000 later this year.
New 15-inch MacBook Air
Beyond headsets, there are also rumors that Apple will release a larger 15-inch Macbook Air. These rumors come from a report by Mark Gurman suggesting that Apple is working on multiple MacBooks of his. According to the same report, the 15-inch MacBook Air will likely feature Apple’s M2 chip and have a screen similar to the 14-inch MacBook Pro.
Garman also reported that Apple will begin accepting trade-ins for the Mac Studio and the 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro the same day as WWDC, suggesting it’s more than just the new MacBook Air.
Publishing and updating iOS 17
Considering WWDC is an event for developers, Apple’s new software is also expected to be officially unveiled. This could include official announcements for iOS 17, iPadOS 17, MacOS 14 and WatchOS 10.
We still don’t know everything exactly about what these software updates will contain. Rumor has it that the new iPhone models will feature significant quality of life improvements and an update to Dynamic Islands. It’s unclear if Apple will introduce anything AI-related, as we saw at Google I/O earlier this year.
