The fans were expect Indiana Jones 5 for so long you wouldn’t blame them if they don’t believe it’s real until they sit down to watch it. But after years and years of delays, Steven Spielberg gives up as a director Harrison Ford is pushing 80+, it looks like it’s finally happening. Especially when the film began to play not only leading roles, but also supporting roles.
Deadline reports that actors Boyd Holbrook and Shaunette Renée Wilson were cast in the film. There is no word on their roles, but that is to be expected. We also don’t know who Phoebe Waller-Bridge or Mads Mikkelsen will star in the film, although they were also cast.
For io9 readers, Holbrook is probably best known as Shane Black’s frontman. The predator or for his role in Hugh Jackman’s latest Wolverine film, Logan. Shaunette Renée Wilson played a Dora Milaje in Black Panther but is also one of the main actors of the Fox show, The resident, and was also on Billions.
They will take the leadership of James mangold, who succeeds Spielberg. Spielberg is however heavily involved and remains committed as a producer. Mangold led the Logan in the same way Wolverine, walk the line, Copland, and Ford vs. Ferrari, among others. He grew up in Orange County, New York, which I only mention because I did too and someone from my hometown runs a Indiana Jones the film blows me away. John Williams will also return as a composer.
When it was originally announced, Indiana Jones 5 was due out in 2019. Now (we think) it will be released on July 29, 2022.
