Lionsgate Television is entering the streaming competition, and they plan to come out swinging. The studio explores the possibility of a Seen TV show. the Seen the films have been a huge financial success at the box office, and seek to replicate that for the small screen.
In an interview with Deadline, Kevin Beggs, chairman of Lionsgate Television, discusses his plans to expand their content. “We have just finished Dear Whites which was a very good experience, Blindspotting come, American psycho is in development. We’re still exploring what we can do on TV with something like the Seen frankness, so that’s a conversation. Saw is experiencing a resurgence this year with Spiral: From the Book of Saw with Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson. The film will be released in May 2021 and a sequel is already lit.
When James Wan | and Leigh wannell created Saw, they had no idea it was going to become a cinematic juggernaut. Even though it’s great their idea took off – Wan says Total movie “bittersweet” success. “It’s so flattering that they did sequels to our film, but at the same time, it feels like the sequels gave the first film a bad impression. Now people refer to Seen films pejoratively. ”
Details surrounding the show’s development are scarce, but hopefully new movies and TV shows will go back to their roots and give fans something that focuses less on shock value and more on storytelling. a good cohesive story.
