This is Amazon Prime Day and, as always, the company has some solid offerings on Kindles. the Kindle Paperwhite obtains the most notable discount in the group. The basic version of the eReader usually costs $ 130, but for the the next days, you can pick it up at the lowest price of $ 80.
The most recent Paperwhite is waterproof with an IPX8 rating. It should still work after being submerged in up to two meters of fresh water for an hour. Even those who read on the beach while letting the waves slam their toes can rest quite easily. The Paperwhite is protected against immersion in up to 0.25 meters of seawater for three minutes. Still, you probably shouldn’t throw it in the tub or in the ocean.
In our review of the Fourth Generation Kindle Paperwhite, we noticed that it has better display contrast than previous models. There is Audible and Bluetooth support, so you can connect a speaker or headset and listen to an audiobook, or listen to books using the text-to-speech function. Unfortunately, the Paperwhite does not support MP3s.
With the Paperwhite, the Standard Kindle is on sale for Prime Day. The ad-supported model went from $ 90 to $ 55. At the higher end of the range, there is also a discount on the Kindle Oasis. It went from $ 250 to $ 175 for the first day.
