‘Mass Effect Legendary Edition’ comparison trailer shows improvements

There is only one month left before the Legendary Mass Effect Edition Launches a reworked version of the action RPG trilogy on PC and consoles, Bioware has a new trailer that gives a better look at visual improvements in store.

If you want to know more about what has changed, see the accompanying blog post, where the developers detail the textures, lighting, shaders, and visual effects featured in the new release, but watching the trailer in 4K tells you all you need to know. It’s Mass Effect as we remember it, just more beautiful.

Pre-rendered cutscenes have been remastered in 4K and engine features that weren’t there before Mass effect 3 are now present in previous titles. There aren’t any details here on the “targeted improvements” we can expect on the next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, but otherwise it’s an intriguing look at what’s to come. The Legendary Edition is scheduled for May 14.
