The witcher fans, you may want to decline all invites for a July 9 release. Yes, it’s a Friday, but it’s also when Netflix and CD Projekt Red have a The witcher convention with events that address both games and live action series. Developer says they won’t be announcing a new game during WitcherCon, but you can expect a standard convention rate. There will be deep dives into the making (as well as behind-the-scenes footage) of not only the show and the games, but the animated films and franchise products.
The convention will also feature interactive panels that will highlight the people who brought the games and the show to life. In addition, there will be expert explorations of The witcher traditions. WitcherCon will stream on Netflix’s YouTube and Twitch channels and CD Projekt Red. The event will be available to stream at 1:00 p.m. ET on July 9, but there will be a second stream to air at 9:00 p.m. with unique content.
In addition to announcing WitcherCon, Netflix also released a trailer for that of the witcher Second Season. Although it’s only a few seconds long, it teases Ciri’s story in Season 2, which (sadly) doesn’t have a premiere date yet.
