Mortal combat was slated to hit theaters in January, but Warner Bros. plans to showcase its 2021 slate in theaters and on HBO Max at a time postponed his release to April. Now with just a few hours before Godzilla vs. Kong starts streaming on HBO Max, the studio has mixed the Mortal combat date once again, and plans to release it on April 23.
According to Variety and Deadline, adding a few more days between major releases could prevent them from straying from ticket sales in areas where theaters are open, while Disney’s decision to delay slightly Black Widow it was easier to delay Mortal combat. It’s been seven more days we’ll have to wait to see if this one can live up to the 1995 debut movie, let alone the game series it’s based on. Until then you can watch the trailer Once again.
