In case you missed it, last week Amazon announced that it’ll be hosting a second Prime Day this October. The retailer is calling the event Prime Big Deal Days, and it’ll take place on October 10 and 11. According to the press release the 48-hour event, which some are calling October Prime Day, will include markdowns on popular brands like Dyson, Sony, Peloton, SharkNinja and iRobot.
Amazon hasn’t released many details about Prime Big Deal Days beyond the dates and mentions of some brands that will be included, but we have a feeling it’ll be similar to last year’s October Prime Day. That sale featured thousands of awesome deals similar to the ones available during the summer event. It also served as the unofficial kickoff to holiday shopping, allowing Prime members to get a head start on buying gifts before Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Below, we’ve answered all of your burning questions regarding this year’s Prime Big Deal Days. Plus, check out some great Amazon deals you can shop right now.
Is There An Amazon Prime Day In October?
Yes, sort of. Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale will be happening October 10 and 11, and should be very similar to past Prime Day sales. Stay tuned to find out whether the scope of the deals will be similar to what we saw in July.
When Is Prime Big Deal Days?
Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days will start at 3 a.m EDT on October 10 and run through 3 a.m. EDT on October 12. But you can already shop some great early deals, especially if you’re in the market for an Amazon device.
How Long Is Prime Big Deal Days?
Prime Big Deal Days will be 48 hours long, just like Amazon’s other major sales. That said, the best deals will likely sell out within the first day of the sale, so we recommend shopping on the morning of October 10 if you’re able to.
Do I Have To Be A Prime Member To Shop Prime Big Deal Days?
Yes. Just like Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days is a special event that’s exclusive to Amazon Prime members. Luckily, there’s no deadline to sign up for a membership and you can even shop the sale during your free trial period.
What Is Prime Big Deal Days?
The new event is a 48-hour sale, similar to Amazon Prime Day. It’s set to take place on October 10 and 11 and will kick off the holiday shopping season, just like last year’s Prime Early Access Sale.
What Will Be On Sale For Prime Big Deal Days?
We don’t have a list of specific deals for the October Amazon sale yet, but we can make some guesses based on the site’s typical offers. Here are some items that you’re likely to see discounted during the event:
Amazon Devices
If you’ve been eyeing an Echo Show or a Ring Doorbell, you may want to wait until October to add it to your cart. Prime Day sales typically bring about the lowest prices of the year on Amazon devices, and Prime Big Deal Days will likely be no different.
Kitchen Gadgets
Last year’s October Prime Day brought about great prices on blenders, air fryers, toaster ovens and other appliances from brands like Vitamix, Ninja and KitchenAid. We’re pretty confident you’ll see some of these items discounted for Prime Big Deal Days as well.
Apple Devices
In July, we saw some all-time low prices on MacBooks, Apple Watches and other Apple tech. If you didn’t get a chance to pick up the device you wanted then, the October sale will likely give you another opportunity to save.
