‘Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’ gameplay reveals what the PS5 can do


From Sony started showing Insomniac’s next game, he highlighted how Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart takes advantage of the PS5’s fast SSD to enable dimension-shifting gameplay. A longer look at today’s State of Play event goes into great detail on what players will feel through their DualSense controllers, as the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback adjust depending on the weapon they use.

This video shows how the mechanics observed in the pack-in Astro Games Room the experience will work in a full game. Naturally, the next-gen graphics and lighting are impressive, with great levels to explore even when you’re not jumping into pocket dimensions. In the 16th minute, they previewed some of the game’s accessibility tweaks, including a game speed slider that should help even more people play when it releases on June 11.
