Samsung is reportedly set to release a sequel to its Original Galaxy Buds, and there are hints that they can be particularly eye-catching – if not necessarily a huge upgrade inside. 91mobiles complaints to have press images of the Galaxy Buds 2 that show a more sleek, solid design instead of the two-tone look of the first time. They would also be significantly more colorful, with green and purple options in addition to the more neutral black and white options.
Charging cases will look a little familiar for Pixel Buds A carriers – you will see solid white on the outside and your preferred color on the inside.
Don’t expect a significant internal upgrade on par with the Galaxy Buds Pro. Previous leaks suggested the Galaxy Buds 2 would benefit from active noise reduction, but not active noise cancellation. You might find it easier to understand your music and calls, but you won’t be able to enjoy them in a cocoon of silence.
When the Galaxy Buds 2 will arrive (provided the report is correct) is not certain. Samsung Hosts Mobile World Congress Virtual Event June 28, but that should focus on his new Wear OS experience. He could wait for another phone-focused presentation, such as a possible event in August where he could show off his third-generation foldable devices. Anytime the buds are ready, they could be a welcome upgrade if you’re steeped in the Samsung ecosystem but just want no-frills “default” buds.
