Sega plans to revive classics like ‘Crazy Taxi’ and ‘Jet Set Radio’

Sega is no stranger to resurrect classic franchises, but maybe he’ll speed up his nostalgia mining soon. IGN reports that Sega is considering revivals of several old but well-known game series after “close scrutiny,” according to a presentation of SegaSammy results. Brands like Crazy Taxi, Radio Jet Set, Dragoon Panzer and Virtua Hunter are all options, and they can do everything from simple remasters to full-blown remakes and reboots.

The presentation also spoke of a mysterious “Super Game” which is expected to be available by the company’s fiscal year 2026.

There is no guarantee that you will see a brand new one Crazy Taxi or a 4K Radio Jet Set refresh. Some franchises on the list, such as Ground and Streets of rage, has not languished for very long, if at all. However, it shows that Sega wants to make better use of its catalog in addition to the must-haves like Sonic and Nobody.
