Shapeshifter Cam Girl Rewrites The Rules Of Digital Porn

Sometimes late 2019, Diana Deets began to change her face. Instagram influencer and adult content creator OnlyFans to Coconut Kitty, Deets until then looked like a woman in her late twenties to mid-thirties. In her new photos, however, as her body remained unchanged, her face gradually transformed into something otherworldly: her chin became pointy, her lips waxed into a permanent pout, her eyes became bigger and languid. Some have argued that she looked considerably younger. Some said she looked like a teenage girl.

Deets fans enjoyed the transformation. She says that before the change, she had around 700,000 followers on Instagram, and since then they have grown “exponentially” to over 3 million. On OnlyFans, where she posts explicit photos and videos also sporting her new face, Deets has amassed 10,700 paid subscribers each paying £ 8 ($ 11) per month—80 percent of which comes directly to it.

But someone else noticed the metamorphosis as well. In October 2020, people on Reddit started chatting how Deets had clearly used digital editing to makeover as a “prepubescent” girl, with many calling the move “disturbing.” At the beginning of July 2021, the popular TikToker Bekah Day posted a video eviscerate Coconut Kitty for altering her features to look like “a young teenage girl,” bluntly accusing her of bending to the “p-word” (ie pedophile) cohort. Several more videos from various TikTokers followed, denying the allegation. Deets says they’re all “hilarious” and “fake”. She deplores having received “a lot” of hateful and threatening messages, and having lost one of her sponsors, Fashion Nova, following the controversy. Fashion Nova did not respond to a request for comment.

In her narrative, the tweaking of her face in the juvenile, cartoonish mockery of Coconut Kitty stands at the intersection of privacy and the art of performance. Deets says she was tired of being recognized in public by her fans online, and on top of that, she was looking for a way to develop her profile in order to sell her paintings. Therefore, she dabbled in visual modification – “I’m a completely self-taught digital artist,” Deets says. “I started trying these editing programs, playing with them,” she says of her digitally altered character. Deets is wary of the exact techniques she uses, but what we do know is that the new Coconut Kitty is finally born. (Deets has since given up on capitalizing on the buzz to sell her paintings. She says most potential buyers who contacted her did not consider her “art connoisseurs” and seemed more interested in chatting with her. .)

Deets denies having consciously shot a teenage or even youthful look. Inspiration for Coconut Kitty’s face, she says, came more from anime characters or Disney princesses, who all tend to be very young (Snow White is 14, Jasmin is 15 years old, while Ariel and Aurora are both 16), but above all, according to Deets, are models of idealized female beauty.

“Let’s look at their eyes, their chin,” Deets says of the Disney Princesses. “Do they have a young face? I had no intention of opting for a young face. I was just trying to get a character’s face. Coconut Kitty is no different from Jessica Rabbit, a fictional character, a fantasy.

Any argument that Deets deals with pedophiles is difficult to substantiate. Henry Adjer, an expert in deepfake and digital media, says it’s nearly impossible to pinpoint the age of a face. “In some cases, you can say that a face is clearly too young. But I don’t think so [Deets’s] is at this location. You would probably say that [Coconut Kitty’s] face is certainly 16 and over, probably 18 or 19, ”he says. “I don’t think there is a way to tell for sure how old a face is.” (Deets won’t say how old she is in real life).
