Sony begins rolling out 1080p support for PlayStation Now

Starting this week, Sony will begin rolling out 1080p support for its Playstation now cloud streaming service. “The rollout will take place over the next few weeks in Europe, the United States, Canada and Japan, where PlayStation Now is available,” the company said. said in a tweet. The platform’s previous limit let you play games at 720p, a limitation that meant PlayStation Now lagged behind competing services like Stadiums, where you can stream games in 1080p and even 4K.

In its post, Sony said the feature will be coming to “1080p compatible games”. We have reached out to the company for clarification on what exactly this means. We’ll update this article when we hear about it. Even if you can’t play all games at 1080p, some are still better than none.
