Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones could feature a new design

It’s been a few years since Sony released its excellent wireless headphones WF-1000XM3, so it’s time for a refresh. The next model could be on the way in the near future, and if there is a leak, the upcoming buds will be very different.

Images obtained by The Walkman blog (Going through The edge) indicate that although the WF-1000XM4 buds have a similar color palette, they will ditch the flatter design for a rounded outer shape, similar to rivals like the Galaxy Buds Pro.

The charging case seems to support wireless charging this time around. Sony also increased the charging output, so the case could charge your headphones faster over a wired connection.

It might not be too long before Sony officially shows off the WF-1000XM4. The Walkman blog suggests that Sony could unveil the headphones as early as next month, based on Federal Communications Commission privacy claims. Sony is unlikely to reveal any details on specs (including whether this model will have water and sweat resistance) before that, but at least we have a clearer idea of what the heads look like. .
