To assure players that STALKER 2 will be worth it wait, developer GSC Game World shows his meticulous approach to world building. A new climax reel offers a first look at the updated costumes from the long-developing sequel, guns, and an idiosyncratic teeth customization tool. While we have seen other game engines designed for movement and physics in the game, the Ukrainian developers have built a plugin just to play dentist with each character’s choppers. The tool allows them to remove and add regular, choppy teeth or dental crowns to further refine the appearance. “Literally every human in Stalker 2 has a unique smile or smile, I guess,” GSC Game World’s Zakhar Bocharov said in the clip.
The video also offers a good look at the rugged radiation suits worn by the game’s opposing factions, along with military-grade combat boots. Additionally, there is a sample of all 30 guns in the game, including heavy machine guns, sniper rifles, and classic shotguns, along with their modifications.
While we haven’t learned the exact release date for STALKER 2, we know it’s coming to PC and Xbox Series X this year as an “exclusive console launch”. The horror sequel will also be part of the Xbox Game Pass service upon launch.
