Comic book movies are in the post-credit scene business, and according to James gunn, his Suicide Squad the film can have several. How do we know this? Well, this Tweet gives a pretty clear indication that he’s got something up his sleeve.
Gunn does a full 180 of David Ayer 2016 Suicide Squad movie. He said Geek’s lair, he added as many quirky characters as possible to have the freedom to unpack them all.
“I wanted to do things that other show movies couldn’t do, which is really taking my time and investigating these characters, getting to know them, focusing on aspects of the character, focusing on who they were and manage time in a different way than what was treated in those movies, ”he says.
Gunn also mentions the film’s antagonist. He’s such a wacky choice it’s easy to think he’s kidding, but he’s very serious. “Starro is hilarious because he’s ridiculous. He’s a giant, azure blue starfish, but he’s also terrifying. Gunn wants to make fans laugh but also terrify them.

“When I was a kid I thought it was the scariest thing ever, and I think it illustrates what this movie is: it’s ridiculous, and it’s also terrifying and serious. So he works really well as the villain of the movie – as a villain, actually.

The only actors / characters returning from Ayer’s Suicide Squad film are Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller and Jai Courtney Captain Boomerang – with the King Shark voiced by Sylvester Stallone.
Suicide Squad will premiere in UK theaters on August 6, 2021, while simultaneously releasing on HBO MAX in the US.
