The CW does not gamble and dominates the nerd news cycle This weekend. Super girl is heading to the home stretch because the coming season six will be the the last show, and actress Peta Sergeant (The originals) is now a regular series.
Deadline states that Sergeant will play Nyxly, an eccentric fifth dimensional imp. Imps are a race of magical tricksters scattered throughout the DC Multiverse and you may remember Mister Mxyzptlk once appeared on Supergirl as Peter Gadiot in season two and Thomas Lennon in season five. In the comics, Nyxly’s backstory is quite tragic. It’s a dimensional hopper that constantly escapes death and saw his father die at the hands of fellow Imp Vyndktvx. In the series, the character will become friends with Kara (Melissa Benoist) and use her power to help. With season five coming to an end, Team Soar needs all the help they can get.
Season five ended with the mighty Brainiac willing to risk everything to get rid of Leviathan. Season Six Knocks On Death Door After Trying To Stop Lex luthor to do what Lex Luthor does. After Supergirl defeats Leviathan’s shit, she goes after Lex, who has used the Obsidian platform to brainwash the world at will. Lots of stuff to pack towards the end, that’s for sure.
Sadly, the Berlanti / CW DCTV universe is losing one of its best shows, but things have taken their course. However, I think we are in one of the Supergirl’s best seasons. If you are going to go out, why not go out with a BANG!
