Nestled among all material announcements Apple shared today at its Spring Forward event, the company had a fun surprise for Apple TV + subscribers waiting for something new to watch on the service. The second season of Ted lasso begins airing on July 23. If you’re unfamiliar with the series, it stars Jason Sudeikis as always positive football coach at the head of an English football team.
The only problem is that he has no experience in sports. With season two, Lasso’s team AFC Richmond find themselves in a rut, with the team having eight consecutive draws, but that doesn’t seem to have dampened their enthusiasm. Sudeikis won a number of awards for his performance as Lasso last season and the show is one of Apple’s originals.
