In 2019, Nintendo launched Tetris 99 as a free battle royale game for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers before trying Super Mario Bros. 35 temporarily, and now he follows these games with Pac-Man 99.
Bandai Namco
Available exclusively on Switch for people with the online membership, the game allows players to eat Power Pellets to make ghosts vulnerable. Once the players ate them, the ghosts transformed into a Jammer Pac-Man, who chases down opponents and slows them down, as the field is slowly winnowed from 99 participants to a winner.
The base game is available at no additional cost to subscribers, while the optional DLC adds CPU mode, time attack, and various custom themes, some of the themes hinting at classic Bandai games. The themes are available for $ 2 each, while players can purchase the additional modes in a $ 15 add-on, or just get all the extras at once for $ 30.
Pac-Man 99 launches on the Switch tomorrow, April 7 at 9 p.m. ET. Switch Online subscribers can preload it now by going to Nintendo’s website so they are ready for the servers to open.
