Watch Netflix’s “Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness” Opening Minutes

Netflix is not done teasing Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Less than a month before CG anime hit the serve, the streaming giant released its opening scene, which focuses on Jason and the U.S. Army Mad Dogs. The three-minute video clip wouldn’t be enough to give you a precise idea of the series, but it does show the Mad Dogs on a helicopter and another helicopter crashing in the distance. Jason and his team then decided to defy orders and engage local Penamstan soldiers in battle to save the survivors of the crash.

While the opening preview stopped at the start of the story, Netflix has already revealed what the series is about in a previous release. The special forces the Mad Dogs wanted to save were already dead, but the team saw them move in weird ways. However, they managed to escape and Jason became a US Federal Agent along with Leon S. Kennedy.

Six years after the event, Jason and Leon were investigating a hacking incident on a top secret White House file – which was later found to be linked to a biology lab in Shanghai – when the lights suddenly went out and a horde of zombies emerge. Meanwhile, in Penamstan, Claire Redfield uncovers evidence of a terrifying experiment carried out during the Penamstan Civil War.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness premieres on Netflix on July 8. The series will feature the voices of Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello, who resume their roles like Léon and Claire from Resident Evil 2 remake which was released in 2019.
